Job summary

Nelnet Business Solutions (NBS) seeks an Accounting Intern to support a wide range of financial, accounting, and system-related tasks while gaining practical experience in a corporate finance environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with month-end close, reviewing credit card chargebacks, lockbox activities, cash deposits, accounts receivable, and helping implement a new company-wide financial tool, under supervision.

Qualifications

• Working toward a degree in Accounting.
• Relevant work experience in Finance or Accounting departments.
• Attention to detail and a proactive learning mindset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.

Education and Experience

Working toward a degree in Accounting.

Relevant work experience in Finance or Accounting departments.

Competencies and Skills

• Knowledge of accounting practice and procedures.

Compensation

$16 – $18 hourly.
