Job summary

A leading metal recycling firm in California is seeking an operations-focused accounting leader to manage financial operations including A/R, A/P, and general ledger. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 5+ years’ experience within recycling or waste management. Strong leadership and analytical skills, along with proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel, are essential. This role demands attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, offering competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience in recycling, waste management or construction industries.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP), treasury and billing.
• Ability to work 40+ hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the completion of monthly, quarterly and annual closings.
• Oversee inventory accounting for scrap metal purchases, processing, and sales.
• Lead the accounting and financial operations process including systems evaluation.
