SEIU Local 1021 is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the Finance team, oversee day-to-day accounting operations, and ensure GAAP compliance. This role directs staff, supports the annual audit, and coordinates with the Finance Director on budgeting and reporting.

The position is based in Oakland with a focus on accurate financial reporting, internal controls, and process improvements to support the union’s mission and programs.

Qualifications

• GAAP knowledge and compliance.
• Experience with general ledger and month-end close.
• Strong supervisory and audit coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Directs finance staff and oversees accounting operations.
• Ensures GAAP compliance and annual audits.
• Manages payroll, accounts payable, and budgeting processes.
