Job summary

Lone Star College-Montgomery is seeking an accounting faculty member to teach courses at various times and locations, contributing to student success and program objectives.

The role requires a Master's in Accounting or 18 graduate hours in Accounting with a focus on delivering high-quality instruction in a student-centered environment. The position includes professional development opportunities and participation in campus service activities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Accounting or Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in Accounting.
• Experience teaching accounting at a college level.
• Ability to develop and implement instructional approaches and use of technology.

Responsibilities

• Teaches courses in Accounting at a variety of times and locations in response to institutional needs.
• Develops and uses a syllabus for each course or laboratory within college and departmental guidelines.
• Plans, develops and uses a variety of teaching methods and materials for diverse student backgrounds.
• Evaluates students and informs them of progress in a timely manner.
• Submits required college reports and forms; maintains professional relationships with students and colleagues.
• Provides access to students through posted office hours and electronic communication.
