Canteen North America is hiring an Accounting Coordinator in Columbia, SC. This in-office role supports accounts receivable activities, mirrors daily financial tasks, and ensures timely processing of payments. Strong attention to detail and collaboration with the finance team are essential.

The position requires 1–3 years in accounting or related education, with proficiency in MS Office and QuickBooks. Monday–Friday schedule with competitive hourly pay and internal referral bonus potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; accounting knowledge advantageous.
• 1–3 years in accounts receivable or general accounting, or equivalent education.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel) and QuickBooks.
• Ability to analyze information, resolve issues, and maintain accuracy in data entry.

Responsabilités

• Monitors credits and debits for accounts.
• Follows payments, verifies deposits, and contacts late payers.
• Balances daily and month-end AR to GL balances.
• Investigates outstanding invoices and negotiates payment terms.
• Enters data into AR general ledger accounts.
• Assists finance with administrative tasks.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitors credits and debits for accounts
• Follows posts of payments for customers, sends payments to accounts, verifies payment or deposits, monitors unpaid invoices and contacts customers who are late on payment
• Balances daily and month end account receivable to general ledger balances
• Investigates outstanding invoices, makes collection calls, negotiates payment terms, and processes liens for collections
• Enters data into accounts receivable general ledger accounts
• Assists financial department with various administrative tasks
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, experience
• 1-3 years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting, or equivalent education with ability to demonstrate an understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel) and Quickbooks
• Ability to analyze information and resolve issues
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail, communication skills, data entry skills, and math skills
