Job summary

Outlast is building the tech backbone for the recycled commodities supply chain. We’re a small, fast-moving team using AI to automate the transactional engine and drive a scalable accounting function.

We’re seeking an Accounting & Controls Manager to own the books end-to-end and grow into Controller as the company scales. You’ll lead close, inventory accounting, cash management, and ERP initiatives, partnering with the VP of Finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred.
• 5–10 years of progressive accounting with full close ownership.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and internal controls you can apply without looking them up.
• Experience with AP/AR, payroll, and tax processes.
• Familiar with AI tools in accounting workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close end‑to‑end with journal entries, reconciliations, and period-end deliverables.
• Keep books clean: AP/AR, bill processing, cash application, expense management.
• Own inventory accounting for physical metal and reconcile with the ledger.
• Manage cash and lender reporting; prepare borrowing base certificates.
• Run payroll, benefits, and taxes with HR on accruals and filings.
