Job summary

Quality Engineering & Surveying, LLC seeks a CPA-level accounting leader to run financial operations and support growth in a project-driven environment. The role requires strong GAAP expertise, budgeting, cash flow management, and internal controls, with the ability to partner with project managers and leadership to maximize profitability.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in progressive accounting, CPA preferred, and experience in AEC, engineering, or professional services.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and internal controls.
• Proven experience leading and developing accounting teams.
• Active Louisiana CPA preferred.
• AEC, engineering, consulting, professional services, or project-based accounting experience.
• Experience with Deltek Ajera or similar ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations, including general ledger, billing, payroll coordination, project accounting, and month-end close.
• Provide financial statements, forecasts, cash flow projections, dashboards, and management reporting.
• Own budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, financial analysis, and performance reviews.
• Partner with project managers to improve profitability, monitor WIP, manage budgets, and identify financial risks.
• Maintain internal controls, accounting policies, compliance programs, audits, and tax coordination.
• Lead, develop, and mentor the accounting team while improving systems, reporting tools, and workflows.

Quality Engineering and Surveying is seeking an accomplished accounting professional to lead our financial operations and support continued growth in a project-driven environment. The successful candidate will bring CPA-level expertise in financial reporting, cash flow management, internal controls, and tax compliance, along with the ability to partner effectively with project managers and leadership teams to maximize project and company profitability.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations, including general ledger, billing, payroll coordination, project accounting, and month-end close.
