Job summary

Umatilla Electric Cooperative is seeking a professional in accounting to support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and work order processing under supervision. The role also covers capital credits, inventory, fixed assets, and reconciliations, ensuring compliance with the RUS uniform system and standard accounting practices.

Ideal candidates have an Associate degree and 2+ years of general accounting or bookkeeping experience, with RUS or utility accounting experience highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• Two+ years in general accounting or bookkeeping in a similar organization.
• RUS or utility accounting experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain UEC accounting systems per RUS uniform system and standard accounting practices.
• Provide clerk support across AP, AR, Work Order Processing, Capital Credits, Inventory, Fixed Assets, and reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end/year-end closing and audit work papers.
• Offer backup support to other accounting functions as directed.
