Job Description: Accounts Payable Clerk

The Accounts Payable Clerk will monitor company capital outflow and handle administrative duties, including managing calls and mail. Payroll responsibilities may also be included.

Essential Functions:
  • Accounts Payable: Enter daily payables, review and approve with Project Manager, prepare weekly payables, run check runs, send lien waivers, and file backup documentation.
  • Credit Cards: Process weekly credit card charges via accounting software.
  • Phones: Answer and direct incoming calls, assist clients.
  • Other Tasks: Vehicle registration, sales tax, subcontracts, purchase orders, permits, 1099s.
Secondary Functions:
  • Assist with billing backup and client communications regarding receivables.
  • Set up and close projects in accounting software.
  • Support payroll processing, including certified payroll and adjustments.
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in Accounting or equivalent experience (5+ years).
  • At least 2 years experience in an accounting role preferred.
  • Pre-employment screening required.
