Job summary

Momentous Insurance, A Marsh McLennan Agency is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join the Accounting team. The role involves processing ACH/Wires, reconciling bank deposits, and ensuring accuracy across carrier statements and trust accounts.

You will support month-end close and assist with various clerical tasks. Ideal candidates have strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Download ACH/Wires and deposit into EPIC.
• Balance/reconcile bank deposits within system batches.
• Create batches from manual checks and send to lockbox.
• Reconcile and pay carriers/wholesalers/MGA with trust accounts payable data.
• Resolve accounting discrepancies with carriers and clients.
• Enter and reconcile Direct Bill data from insurers and post before month-end.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by CFO/management.
• Perform related clerical duties as needed.

A day in the life.

As our Accounting Clerk on the Accounting team, you'll be responsible for the following:

• Download ACH/Wires received fr4om Online Banking and deposit them into EPIC.
• Balance/reconcile bank deposits batches within the batches entered in computer system
• Make copies of manual checks receive, create batches and send them to the lockbox for depositing into the bank.
• Reconcile and pay Carriers/Wholesalers/MGA/Brokers statements with trust accounts payable information in the Applied System within the required time frame.
• Resolve accounting discrepancies with insurance carriers and clients.
• Enter and reconcile the Direct Bill statement data as they are received from the insurance companies and post them prior to month end closing.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the CFO or by management. List is genuinely important and achievable
• Perform related clerical duties as needed.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $40,100 to $80,300. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance‑based incentives.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $42,000 to $73,600.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance‑based incentives.
