Job summary

Builders Capital Exchange is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our expanding Accounting team. The role involves data entry, bank reconciliations, and maintaining general ledger entries with accuracy and confidentiality.

This hybrid position will be based at one of our HQ locations: Puyallup, WA; Cleveland, OH; or Fort Lauderdale, FL. The ideal candidate has 1+ year in accounting, strong Excel skills, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
• 1+ year in an accounting role with emphasis on AP.
• Strong analytical and numeracy skills with cash flow understanding.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience with NetSuite preferred but not required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and attention to detail.
• Able to manage multiple objectives with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Perform data entry to update financial records.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and ledgers for accuracy.
• Identify and resolve account discrepancies.
• Maintain general ledger and journal entries.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

Builders Capital Exchange is looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our growing Accounting team. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting, and administrative tasks to ensure the company’s financial records are accurate and up to date. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and the ability to handle financial data with accuracy and confidentiality.

This position will be a hybrid position based out of one of three HQ locations: Puyallup, WA, Cleveland, OH or Fort Lauderdale, FL.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform data entry duties to update and maintain accurate financial records.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in accounts.
• Maintain general ledger entries and journal entries.
• Provide support for month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Work on special projects and analysis as requested.

• Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is a plus.
• 1+ years’ of experience in similar accounting role with a heavy focus in Accounts Payable.
• Strong analytical, numerical and reasoning abilities with understanding of cash flow concepts and principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience with NetSuite preferred but not required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work on multiple objectives at any one time.

The pay range for this position is $50,000 - $58,000 annually, with compensation determined based on the candidate's experience and education.
