Job description

The Accounting Associate is responsible for the comprehensive management, reconciliation and reporting of various financial transactions and accounts, including operating, escrow and servicing bank accounts.

Duties and Responsibilities

The primary job duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Various reconciliations on general ledger and bank accounts, coding and posting cash receipts, payables.
  • Journal entries to general ledger software system.
  • Accountable on initiating transfers between bank accounts, validates draw/check request from internal departments, and available on releasing wires and ACH’s for Corporate and Servicing departments.
  • Meets deadline on month end task that includes posting and validating accruals, ensuring that clearing accounts are reconciled, reconciling billing and forwards final reports/reconciliations to appropriate parties.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred.
  • Experience in mortgage accounting is required.
