Job summary

ZERO IMPACT ENERGY seeks an Accounting Associate to support day-to-day accounting tasks including AP/AR, vendor relations, reconciliations, and month/year-end close. The role also involves administrative support and cross-department collaboration to uphold accurate records and policy adherence.

The ideal candidate brings an Associate degree in Accounting or equivalent experience, 3+ years of related accounting work, and proficiency with QBO and NetSuite in a fast-growing Renewable Energy company

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting or equivalent experience preferred.
• 3+ years of related accounting experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of GAAP.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online (QBO) and NetSuite.
• Experience with multiple accounting, payment, or operational systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with accounts payable processing and vendor communications.
• Perform timely reconciliations of credit card transactions across systems.
• Maintain professional vendor relationships and resolve discrepancies.
• Collect vendor tax information (W-9s) and assist with 1099 prep.
• Maintain electronic records of invoices, payments, and docs.
• Complete vendor and credit applications as needed.
• Assist month-end close and year-end reporting.
• Distribute incoming accounting correspondence and support workflows.
• Collaborate with other departments to support accounting operations.
• Assist with special projects and administrative duties from management.
