Job summary

Fort Atkinson Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking an Accounting Associate to support their accounting functions. This role involves processing and reconciling accounting records, handling invoices accurately, and ensuring professional communication with stakeholders. Ideal candidates will have at least a high school diploma or equivalent, with 2 years of accounting experience, and proficiency in MS Office. Qualifications

• 2 years of related accounting experience required.
• Manual dexterity and visual acuity necessary for office equipment.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve invoice and subledger discrepancies.
• Process invoices accurately via accounting and document management systems.
• Communicate effectively with vendors, customers, and internal staff.

Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Associate’s degree in accounting or business administration
