Job summary

DHJJ seeks an accountant eager to advance toward a principal role, collaborating with colleagues on in-depth accounting issues, and continually enhancing skills, whether in person or remotely via Microsoft Teams.

You will record client data with accuracy, learn client businesses, and plan your work to meet deadlines under coaching from managers and principals. The firm offers hybrid work, CPA exam incentives, flexible schedules, and referral bonuses.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of related accounting experience.
• CPA candidate preferred.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Apply accounting knowledge to record client data accurately as part of a team.
• Develop understanding of client businesses to diagnose opportunities and suggest solutions.
• Plan and organize own work to meet deadlines and tasks within timeframes.
• Communicate with clients professionally as directed by managers/principals.
• Participate in recruiting initiatives by speaking with potential candidates at career forums.
• Undertake research to support sales and marketing initiatives.

• Apply accounting knowledge to record client data with neat and accurate work as part of a team with coaching and supervision
• Develop an understanding of client businesses and use this knowledge to help diagnose opportunities and suggest solutions
• Effectively plan and organize own work with direction to meet deadlines and complete tasks within agreed-upon timeframes
• Communicate directly with clients, responding to them in a timely and professional manner at the direction of the managers and principals.
• Participate in initiatives to recruit talented people by providing time to speak with potential candidates at career forums
• Undertake research to support sales and marketing initiatives
