Job summary

CNG Holdings, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Associate to develop and maintain detailed accounting records and support month-end closing. You will collaborate with operations, IT, and other departments to ensure accurate financials and timely reporting.

Responsibilities include preparing G/L reconciliations, journal entries, and asset depreciation schedules, while supporting process improvements and internal audits. A bachelor’s in accounting/finance and at least 1 year of experience are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related experience.
  • 1+ years accounting experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong problem solving, collaboration, time management and organization skills.
  • Detail-oriented team player able to handle multiple projects and tasks.
  • SQL querying a plus.
  • Ability to identify problems and seek continuous improvements and resolutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately maintain all assigned accounting records and perform related accounting functions.
  • Ensure all entries and reports are completed timely and accurately.
  • Coordinate month-end accounting activities with other departments.
  • Prepare monthly GL reconciliation and monthly journal entries.
  • Respond to inquiries from management, auditors and financial statements.
  • Support accounting requirements for new product deployments and process enhancements.
  • Weekly recording and reconciling of cash receipts.
  • Review capital expenditures entries to meet criteria.
  • Calculate depreciation for all fixed assets.
  • Maintain fixed assets sub-ledger and depreciation schedules.
  • Conduct analyses related to fixed assets as requested by management and auditors.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations including Capex, pre-paid and accruals.
  • Determine adjustments required and prepare related journal entries.
  • Update and maintain procedures for assigned tasks.
  • Complete reporting from internal business partners.
  • Perform audit requests.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
