About The Role
VetsEZ is looking for an Accounting Associate to join our remote accounting and operations team. This role is ideal for an organized and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day transactional tasks and ensuring that all financial procedures are followed accurately. If you are someone who can work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain strong attention to detail, this role is a great fit for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Process payroll on a semi-monthly basis
• Handle timekeeping data and conduct audits
• Process and enter vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Monitor HSA/FSA/IRA contributions for CAP limitations
• Compile financial data for balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports
• Perform month-end close analytical procedures, including reconciliations and journal entries
• Assist employees with understanding accounting policies and reporting requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a relevant field
• 3+ years of relevant corporate accounting experience
• Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Experience with ERP systems and DCAA compliance requirements
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams

Additional Qualifications

• Experience with Unanet or Deltek Cost Point is a plus
• Knowledge of Federal Government cost accounting principles and regulations
• Ability to obtain a government clearance
