Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a transactional accountant/accounting clerk to provide administrative support to departments and programs in the assigned department.

This role handles purchasing documentation, spend authorizations, travel expense reports, reimbursements, invoices, and budget reconciliations in a normal office setting. A high school diploma and relevant experience are required, with opportunities for growth within WashU's finance teams.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience.
  • Relevant experience in office, payroll, accounting, or business (2 years).
  • Familiarity with budgeting, journal entries, and financial reconciliation.

Responsibilities

  • Initiates/review and upload supporting documentation for purchasing transactions.
  • Processes spend authorizations and expense reports for travel.
  • Process reimbursement requests for department members in your assigned profile.
  • Reviews and processes Procard transactions for approval.
  • Processes internal and external invoices.

Salary Range

$19.29 - $29.91 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
