We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting & Tax Compliance Lead to support key functions across general accounting, compliance, and tax. This role is ideal for someone who wants to gain broad experience across critical areas of corporate accounting within a public company environment. The ideal candidate is curious, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative team.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Assist in month-end and quarter-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts including accruals, prepaids and deferred revenue.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting data and documentation in accordance with US GAAP.
• Lead compliance activities, including control execution and documentation.
• Help maintain accounting policies and ensure adherence to internal controls and external regulatory requirements.
• Prepare audit support and assist with quarterly reviews and year-end financial audits.
• Assist in compiling and organizing data for federal, state, and international tax filings.
• Prepare sales tax returns and support related audits or notices.
• Work with external tax advisor and auditors to ensure timely and accurate compliance with applicable tax laws
• Monitor evolving tax rules and help assess impact on company processes.
• Collaborate with accounting team members to review processes for optimization.
• Stay updated on accounting industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and recommend adjustments to financial processes and strategies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting. A Master's degree or professional certification (CMA, CPA, etc.) is a plus.
• Proven experience as an tax associate, compliance lead or in a similar role, preferably in corporate accounting or public accounting.

• 3–10 years of experience in public accounting or corporate accounting (Big 4 or public company experience a plus)
• Foundational knowledge of US GAAP; familiarity with public company controls preferred.
• Exposure to corporate tax concepts or experience with domestic and international sales tax issues is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred).

• Solid understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach to decision-making.
