Job summary

U.S. Venture's Summer 2027 Accounting & Finance Internship provides hands-on experience in month-end close, reconciliations, forecasting, and business analysis within the U.S. AutoForce Finance team.

The split role lets you work across Accounting and FP&A while contributing to accurate financials and insightful analyses. The program runs May through August 2027 and takes place at the Corporate Office in Appleton, WI.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end close, including preparing account reconciliations and posting journal entries for assigned accounts.
• Compile and communicate monthly and quarterly financial results through financial reporting packages, supporting analyses for management.
• Analyze actual results versus budget and forecast, investigate variances, and understand drivers.
• Participate in monthly forecasting for income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Perform variance analysis to identify trends and improvements.
• Work with management to develop metrics and track performance toward financial goals.
• Assist as needed with CPM budgeting and forecasting.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for an Accounting & Finance Intern for our Summer 2027 internship program! This is a split role within the U.S. AutoForce Finance team — you will spend time with both the Accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) teams, gaining hands‑on experience in month‑end close, account reconciliation, forecasting, and business analysis. You will also gain broad exposure to the U.S. Venture / U.S. AutoForce business model, and your contribution will help both teams deliver accurate financials and insightful analyses on which the company makes sound financial decisions.

U.S. Venture's Internship Program runs May – August 2027. Dates may vary based on individual class schedules. This position is located at our Corporate Office in Appleton, WI.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounting

• Assist with month-end close, including preparing account reconciliations and posting journal entries for assigned accounts.
• Compile and communicate monthly and quarterly financial results through financial reporting packages, supporting the preparation of analyses used by management to understand business performance.
• Analyze actual financial results compared to budget and forecast, investigate key variances, and develop an understanding of the operational and industry drivers impacting performance.

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Participate in the monthly forecasting process for the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Perform variance analysis to identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Work with management to develop metrics that measure business operations, identify areas for improvement, and track performance toward financial goals.
• Assist as needed with our Corporate Performance Management (CPM) system from a budgeting and forecasting perspective.

Across Both Teams

• Participate in cross-functional meetings to gain exposure to business processes and see how accounting outputs drive forecasting and analysis.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as directed by the Accounting and FP&A teams.

QUALIFICATIONS
