Location: Remote/Multiple Locations

RSM seeks a manager for our Accounting and Finance Consulting (AFC) practice, focusing on Treasury & Investment Accounting. With over 80 years of industry expertise, RSM helps firms across various industries—including financial services, technology, life sciences, and manufacturing—achieve their objectives. Our professionals develop tailored solutions for clients with diverse organizational structures, whether local, national, or international.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the AFC team on treasury & investment accounting projects.
  • Demonstrate intermediate knowledge of financial accounting concepts.
  • Execute and oversee the month-end closing process for accurate financial reporting.
  • Oversee preparation of journal entries, data validation, and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, including intercompany, fixed assets, and inventory.
  • Examine income statements and balance sheets to ensure accuracy and provide financial insights.
  • Lead special projects on treasury-related activities, including planning and execution.
  • Oversee accounting for investment portfolios, including equities, fixed income, and alternative investments.
  • Ensure proper valuation and reporting of investments in line with accounting standards.
  • Monitor investment performance, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Prepare and review investment-related financial statements and disclosures.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of investment accounts.
  • Coordinate with auditors and regulators to ensure compliance.
  • Manage system implementations and enhancements to support automation and business growth.
  • Participate in monthly and quarterly close activities related to investments, fair value, CECL, FX remeasurement, structured investments, derivatives, and hedging.
  • Lead UAT testing during system implementations to meet treasury control objectives.
  • Support cash and short-term liquid asset classes from implementation through reporting cycles.
  • Travel up to 25% as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • BS/BA in Accounting or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, including Investments, Derivatives, and Fair Value (ASC 320, ASC 815, ASC 820).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s in accounting or related field.
  • CPA or similar certification.
  • Experience with financial reporting and close processes.
  • Proven experience in systems implementation and process improvement.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Expertise in investment and cash asset accounting.
  • Familiarity with Clearwater Analytics, MyStateStreet, SAP.

Salary Range: $88,900 - $168,300
