Job Details

Position: Accounting and Data Analytics Specialist

Location: Springfield, Massachusetts Metropolitan Area

Pay Range: $22.00/hr - $27.00/hr

Summary

Responsible for performing a range of routine accounting activities such as maintenance of the general ledger, payroll, and preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and totals accounts using the Financial Management System according to Glenmeadow procedures.
  • Accounts Payable: Compiles and inputs invoices, prepares vouchers, reviews for accuracy, and processes payments.
  • Accounts Receivable: Prepares and distributes invoices, processes payments, and makes deposits.
  • Payroll / Human Resources: Ensures employee changes are processed timely, calculates payroll, and verifies tax reports.
  • General Ledger: Enters journal entries, reconciles accounts, and extracts information.

Develops dashboards, analyzes financial data, and reports discrepancies. Assists employees, vendors, or customers with financial inquiries and compiles relevant reports.

Minimum Requirements
  • At least three years of accounting experience with standard principles.
  • Experience with financial management and payroll systems; familiarity with Yardi and ADP preferred.
  • Associate’s degree in accounting or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • Experience in a nonprofit setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Google Data Studio).
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and excellent communication.
