Job summary

Orbiss Inc. in Boston, MA seeks an experienced CPA firm accounting professional to manage full-cycle accounting for assigned client portfolios.

You will oversee bookkeeping, month-end close, and the preparation of financial statements with variance analysis and KPI reporting. You will coach junior staff and support intercompany reconciliations, consolidations, and collaboration with tax teams to ensure accurate compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required with CPA license preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a CPA firm, including international cross-border work.
  • Experience closing month-end and year-end, preparing statements, and reconciliations.
  • Experience with multi-entity consolidations and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, and advanced Excel.

  • Serve as main contact for assigned client portfolio and oversee full accounting cycle.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with KPI insights.
  • Perform reconciliations across bank, intercompany, and balance sheet accounts.
  • Evaluate and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
  • Support intercompany reconciliations and tax team collaboration, coach juniors.

Job description

Orbiss is an advisory and tax firm that supports international SMBs as they expand into the United States. Our work spans cross-border accounting, tax, and M&A support, helping clients navigate complexity with clarity, accuracy, and practical insight. We partner closely with growing businesses that need dependable financial operations and thoughtful guidance as they scale.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the main point of contact for an assigned client portfolio and oversee the full accounting cycle from bookkeeping through month-end and year-end close
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, perform variance analysis, and deliver executive summaries with KPIs and improvement insights
  • Perform bank, credit card, balance sheet, intercompany, and accrual reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions
  • Evaluate and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and technology tools to enhance efficiency and financial visibility
  • Manage intercompany reconciliations, support consolidation for multi-entity structures, and collaborate with tax teams to ensure accurate compliance support
  • Support, coach, and review junior team members as needed
Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 3+ years of experience in a CPA firm, including experience working in an international CPA firm and supporting cross-border accounting engagements
  • Hands-on experience managing month-end and year-end close, preparing financial statements, performing variance analysis, and completing reconciliations
  • Experience with multi-entity accounting, consolidations, and internal controls
  • Strong proficiency with QuickBooks, NetSuite, and advanced Excel skills
  • Experience serving as a direct point of contact for clients and reviewing work from junior accountants
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Bill.com
  • Knowledge of US GAAP
  • Active CPA license
  • Professional proficiency in French
