Bangor Savings Bank is seeking an Accounting Analyst to provide comprehensive accounting and analytical support within the Accounting Department. You will independently prepare, analyze, and report on the Bank and its products, ensuring GAAP compliance and process improvements.
The role emphasizes analytical rigor, accuracy, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams. A Bachelor’s degree in accounting and strong spreadsheet skills are preferred, with potential for supervisory growth.
Pay Range: $25.09 - $43.15 (Hourly) - Function: Provide comprehensive accounting and analytical support to the overall function of the Accounting Department by independently preparing, analyzing, reviewing and reporting on the Bank, its products and services, and peers. Performs a wide range of highly complex accounting and analytical functions and assures day-to-day operations are carried out in accordance with established accounting principles, policies and objectives. Is a self-starter and continually seeks and implements efficiencies in processes and provides recommendations for enhancements. Has potential for future supervisory and team building opportunities. Collaborates with employees at all levels of the organization to achieve the objectives set by internal and external customers. Level 1: Primary focus is on developing skills and acquiring knowledge related to the role. Quality of work is vital to success and development to higher levels. Level 2: Level 1 expectations of continued development of skills, acquisition of knowledge, and quality of work remain with additional focus on increasing production of work-product. Three plus years of accounting or financial analysis experience preferred. Level 3: Level 1 and 2 expectations of quality, production, and continued development/knowledge growth remain with added responsibilities that may include training less-experienced associates, assisting with complex issues/projects, reviewing processes and procedures for improvement opportunities. Six plus years of accounting or financial analysis preferred.
