Amwins is seeking an Account Analyst II in Charlotte, NC to support management in safeguarding company assets by analyzing and reconciling payables transactions. You will communicate with internal and external parties while maintaining high customer service levels and handling higher volume, complexity payments under supervision.

The role reports to the Accounting Supervisor and requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or equivalent experience, plus 2+ years in premium accounting.

• 2+ years’ experience in premium accounting a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Ensure timely disbursement of funds per Accounting protocol.
• Reconcile market statements and invoices to transactions in the Accounting System.
• Respond promptly to billing inquiries.
• Identify accounting discrepancies and work with senior staff to resolve.
• Process adjustments and write-offs within authorized thresholds.
• Escalate aged accounts and reconciling items per protocol.
• Monitor premium audits and escalate when required.
• Participate in and lead focus groups.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor and manager.

The Account Analyst II supports Management in the monitoring and safeguarding of company assets, achieved through analyzing and reconciling payables transactions. Effectively communicates with internal and external parties, while successfully maintaining a high level of customer service. Processes payments at a higher volume and complexity. Duties are performed under direct supervision. This position reports directly to Accounting Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely disbursement of funds per Accounting protocol
• Reconcile Market statements/invoices to transactions in Accounting System
• Respond promptly to billing inquiries
• Identify accounting discrepancies within the accounting sub-ledger and work with Senior Analyst and Supervisor to provide resolution
• Process adjustments and write-offs within Analyst authorized threshold
• Escalate Aged accounts and reconciling items according to protocol
• Monitor premium Audits and **escalate** according to protocol
• Participate and Lead Focus Groups
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor and Manager

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree- (Accounting or Finance preferred) or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years’ experience in Premium Accounting (preferred)
• Basic understanding of Insurance Industry accounting and terminology
• Strong customer service skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and complete work within scheduled deadlines
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
