United States Steel Corporation seeks an Accounting Supervisor for the Accounts Payable Department to lead a team across North American facilities. You will ensure liabilities are recorded in the correct period, meet monthly close deadlines, and resolve plant order and vendor issues with a focus on accuracy and cost efficiency.

Accounting is a core component of our business and key to our success as one of the world's largest steel producers. The Accounting organization ensures financial compliance, manages global financial results for external reporting, and provides financial statistics to U. S. Steel's executive team to aid in strategic business decisions. This position requires an Accounting Supervisor within the Accounts Payable Department to oversee a team of represented employees and facilitate various accounting functions for all our North American facilities.
Contribute to the success of the Accounts Payable Department by providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders, validate that liabilities are accounted for in the proper period, meet monthly closing and audit deadlines, resolve plant order and vendor issues, and manage a high functioning employee team that continues to operate in an efficient, safe and cost-effective manner.
