Job summary

PTC is seeking an Accounting Analyst I in Alliance, OH. The role focuses on compiling and analyzing accounting data, posting entries, and supporting month-end close.

You will work with Purchasing and other departments to resolve issues and ensure accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 1–3 years of relevant experience and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills; Hyperion and Oracle experience are a plus.

We offer the following:* FREE Healthcare* HSA option* Dental* Vision* Life Insurance* Dependent & Spouse Life Insurance* Long Term Disability* Critical Illness & Accident Coverage* 401K plan with company match* Referral Bonus* Employee Assistance Program (EAP)* Annual college scholarship available for children & grandchildren of PTC employees* Tuition Reimbursement eligibility**Function:** The primary focus of the Accounting Analyst I involves the compilation, consolidation and analysis of accounting and finance information and the application of accounting techniques and standard practices to the classification and recording of financial transactions.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** * Performs various clerical and routine accounting tasks* Posting entries, reviewing for sensibility, verifying and reconciling input to financial reporting systems* Responding to inquiries and contacting other departments or vendors to resolve a variety of problems* Maintains fixed asset system* Tracks and accounts for capital expenditures* Analyzes and tracks utility usage* Analyzes and tracks leases and rentals* Review expense reimbursement requests for accuracy and policy compliance* Review plant purchase order requests and work with Purchasing department to correct abnormalities* Works closely with accounting team during month-end close process to ensure accurate and timely results* Perform ad-hoc reporting/analysis and special projects as requestedThe incumbent is expected to understand that all employees have a shared responsibility for the quality of products and related services provided to our customers.
