Job summary

Job Responsibilities

• Perform journal entries and complex account reconciliations including identification and remediation of all issues in compliance with audit requirements.
• Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger closing and reporting processes, including preparation of division and segment pack schedules to be presented to Finance leadership and business management.
• Assist with the preparation of income statement and balance sheet packages and related comprehensive analysis for variances and trends.
• Complete intercompany wire settlements and balancing of intercompany accounts.
• Participate in the internal and external audit process.
• Work closely with other functional areas (i.e., corporate accounting & reporting, statutory reporting, FP&A, disbursements, treasury, actuarial, reinsurance and program accounting) to resolve issues and support achievement of business goals.
• Assist with the preparation of insurance company financial statements and ensure compliance with statutory guidance and regulatory deadlines.
• Collaborate with teammates and initiate ideas with management to identify, design, and implement process improvements for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
• Participate in other strategic accounting and business projects as they arise.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or similar required

Certification

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or candidate preferred

Work Experience

• 1+ years of accounting experience preferred

Pay information

The salary range for this position is $58,500 - $121,900. The posted salary range reflects the lowest and highest base salary applicable to this role across our U.S. locations. Individual offers are determined based on geographic location, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and other job-related factors. As a result, the salary offered for a specific location will fall within a narrower range than the overall range displayed in this posting.

This position may also be eligible to participate in the Company's annual incentive plan.
