Markel is seeking a Finance professional in Richmond, VA to support the Close Control & Reporting (CCR) group by recording and reconciling the financial results for multiple reporting segments and divisions. You will participate in monthly, quarterly and annual close processes and prepare segment packs for leadership review.
Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, 1–3 years of accounting experience, and strong Excel skills. CPA license or candidacy is preferred.
This position is responsible for recording and reconciling the financial results for various Markel reporting segments, divisions, and insurance companies as part of the Close Control & Reporting (CCR) department within Markel’s finance group. CCR is responsible for the controls and processes around reporting Markel’s division and segment results.
