Job summary

Tenaris is seeking an accounting trainee through the Global Trainee Program in Houston. You will contribute to timely, accurate accounting records, ledgers, and financial statements within a global manufacturing setting.

The role emphasizes accuracy, data entry, reporting, and KPI development, with on-the-job training and cross-functional exposure. A Bachelor's in Accounting is required; Master’s or certifications are a plus; strong MS Office skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide accounting and analytical support to the accounting department.
  • Provide reporting for profitability and cost analysis.
  • Provide support for budget preparation and performance measurement.
  • Administer the catalog of cost centers.
  • Type accurately, prepare, and maintain accounting documents and records.
  • Prepare orders, general ledger postings, and statements.
  • Reconcile accounts in a timely manner.
  • Enter key data of financial transactions into the database daily.
  • Provide assistance and support to company personnel.
  • Research, track, and resolve accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.
  • Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas.
  • Comply with policies and regulations in area of responsibility.
  • Observe core processes through training and project work.
  • Develop and manage KPIs to monitor results.

Global Trainee Program (GTP)

A Global Trainee will build expertise, engage with colleagues around the world, and demonstrate performance while learning about Tenaris's culture and industrial heritage leaving them prepared to take the next steps in their career.

About the Role

The role involves providing timely and accurate information on accounting records, maintaining ledger accounts, and developing financial statements and reports.

Responsibilities
  • Provide accounting and analytical support to the accounting department.
  • Provide reporting for profitability and cost analysis.

  • Constantly update job knowledge.
  • Observe core processes through on-the-job training, project assignments, and training activities.
  • Analyze information and prepare different deliverables such as reports and processes.
  • Gain deep knowledge of the processes you are exposed to.
  • Develop specific projects within the Accounting department.
  • Develop and manage a set of Key Performance Indicators to monitor and measure the area’s results.
  • Maintain regular contact with other areas of the company and interact with different hierarchical levels in order to achieve the expected performance and results.
  • Comply with Tenaris policies, procedures, and management standards and ensure adherence to all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Master’s degree or relevant certifications are a plus
Required Skills
  • Familiarity with advanced accounting procedures.
  • Competency in MS Office, databases, and accounting software.
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Aptitude for numbers.
  • Ability to perform filing and record-keeping tasks.
  • Data entry and word processing skills.
  • Well-organized.
