Job summary

Regions Bank in Atlanta, GA is seeking an Accounting Analyst to prepare accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly and quarterly statements, with a focus on process improvements. The role supports capital markets accounting and reporting across business partners.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance and 1 year of related experience; MBA/Finance master and CPA are preferred. Regular in-office hours are expected, with ultimate onsite work.

• One year in public accounting or industry with reporting, policy, or financial analysis experience.
• Strong research, data analysis, and problem-solving abilities.

Job Description:

At Regions, the Accounting Analyst prepares accurate and timely financial reporting that may include, but not limited to, special requests, producing monthly and quarterly reporting, and adding value through continued process improvement.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assists in preparation detailed reports and presentations for review by all levels of management
• Contributes to process improvements and makes recommendations on occasion
• Researches and responds to technical accounting inquiries from our business partners
• Analyzes and resolves problems using prescribed guidelines or policies
• Completes ad-hoc reporting or other special projects as they arise

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a directly related field
• One (1) year in public accounting or industry with reporting, policy, or financial analysis experience

Preferences

• Master of Business Administration (MBA) and/or Master's degree in Finance
• Experience within a financial services industry
• Certified Public Accountant Licensure (CPA)

• Ability to research, analyze data, and drive appropriate solutions

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

This position supports accounting and reporting for various capital markets businesses.

This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations.

This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.

Regions will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position at this time. Applicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
