Position Title

Accountant UKH Treasury Remote Position Summary / Career Interest:The Accountant – Treasury has responsibilities related to cash forecasting, investments, debt and other financing vehicles, and capital budgeting and tracking. Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
  • Develops trustworthy relationships with colleagues and maintains relationships with lines of business to provide appropriate information to assist in achievement of company goals;
  • Assists with capital payment process and in tagging assets.
  • Prepares and processes assigned journal entries.
  • Assists with the Month End close process.
  • Reconciles assigned general ledger accounts with supporting schedules.
  • Identifies and resolves accounting discrepancies and irregularities;
  • Performs ad-hoc requests as needed
  • Assists with preparing external reporting and external audit PBC requests for quarterly reviews and year-end audits;
  • Answers and resolves internal and external audit inquiries;
  • Assist with bank borrowing base reporting/compliance.
  • Updates procedures for routine tasks and recurring special tasks and creates new ones when needed.
  • Manages his/her organizational responsibilities in a way that supports the achievement of team goals.
  • Participates in cross training efforts for developmental purposes and departmental coverage;
  • Demonstrates competence in the areas of critical thinking, interpersonal relationships, and technical skills.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or a related field of study from an accredited college or university.
  • 1 or more years of experience in fund accounting, investment management, or financial services.

Preferred Education and Experience
  • 1 or more years Healthcare accounting experience.
  • 1 or more years general accounting experience
  • 1 or more years of experience in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • 1 or more years of experience relating to cost and/or general ledger accounting.

Knowledge Requirements
  • Proficiency with Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong accounting/finance knowledge, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and principles, financial statements, accounting theory, and internal controls
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to multi task, prioritize, and escalate.
  • Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail, requires a high degree of accuracy.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to build relationships with other team members both within and outside of the Finance department
