Introduction: OPEN TO ALL QUALIFIED APPLICANTS. This is a position-specific recruitment. The resulting certified eligible list may be used to staff several current and future vacancies for this position/function only.

LOCATION OF POSITION: Annapolis, Maryland

POSITION DUTIES

The incumbent will learn how to process post-payroll corrections, maintain employees' Masterfile, and make R*STARS adjustments for three (3) payroll systems. The incumbent will also learn how to perform internal audits, account reconciliations, prepare state tax returns, reporting, and payroll processing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university, including or supplemented by three credit hours in auditing. Candidates may substitute a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with thirty credit hours in Accounting and related courses, including or supplemented by three credit hours auditing, for the required education. Applicants who have met the requirements for admission to the CPA examination prior to July 1, 1974, will be considered to have met the educational requirement referenced above. For education obtained outside of the U.S., you will be required to provide proof of the equivalent American education as determined by a foreign credential evaluation service.
