Kemper is seeking a Senior Accountant to support Property & Casualty premium accounting, expanding expertise in ledgers, consolidation and SEC/GAAP/statutory reporting within the P&C segment of the insurance company.
The ideal candidate will have solid accounting knowledge, including debits/credits, journal entries, and month-end reporting; strong analytical abilities and communication skills are essential for interaction with management and auditors.
The Senior Accountant will support the Property & Casualty premium accounting. It's a fantastic role for a strong performer who is looking to greatly expand their knowledge of ledgers, consolidation, and SEC/GAAP/statutory financial reporting within the P&C segment of an insurance company. Kemper has a proven track record for developing its people for higher roles within the department as well as other functions and across its operating entities. We seek an analytical and detail-oriented professional to assist with a wide range of monthly, quarterly and annual P&C accounting functions associated with Kemper’s financial reporting.
The ideal candidate will have strong foundational accounting knowledge, including debits and credits, journal entries, account reconciliations, accounts receivable, and month-end reporting. This person must be comfortable analyzing data, identifying when results do not look right, investigating discrepancies, and handling unusual transactions in systems that may not always operate perfectly.
The range for this position is $70,000 to $117,000. When determining candidate offers, we consider experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location among other factors.
