Clarios is seeking a Senior Finance professional for global accounting and R2R processes. The role focuses on month-end closings, reconciliations, and reporting using Power BI and OneStream.

You will drive accuracy, support automation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across regions. Requirements include 5+ years in accounting, IFRS/GAAP knowledge, SAP experience, advanced Excel, and English at C1 level.

Competenze

• Minimum five years in Accounting, Record-to-Report or Shared Services.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or GAAP accounting principles.
• Experience with SAP; SAP S/4HANA is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with Power BI/OneStream.
• Proficient English; ability to work in US-time shifts and cross-border teams.
• ACCA or CIMA completed or in progress; openness to AI-enabled finance.

Interested what will be your tasks?

• Perform and oversee month-end closing activities, accruals, account reconciliations, and related accounting tasks for assigned entities.
• Ensure the accuracy of balance sheet accounts and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.
• Review automated journal entries and system-generated reconciliations to verify their accuracy and completeness.
• Use reporting tools such as Power BI and OneStream to monitor variances, trends, exceptions, and financial movements.
• Provide controllers and other finance stakeholders with clear explanations of financial results and account movements.
• Prepare simplified reports and visual summaries highlighting key financial drivers, exceptions, or anomalies.
• Participate in finance automation initiatives and support the testing of new digital solutions within the GBS Finance organization.
• Use AI-supported tools, such as Microsoft Copilot and other AI assistants, to support analysis, documentation, and reporting activities.
• Validate automated outputs and provide structured feedback during digital pilots and solution testing.
• Contribute to agile team practices, including shared planning, retrospectives, improvement discussions, and rotating team responsibilities.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce repetitive tasks, and improve the quality and efficiency of finance operations.
• Share accounting knowledge, digital practices, and lessons learned with colleagues.
• Support junior team members with accounting principles, process knowledge, and system usage.
• Ensure compliance with SOX controls, internal policies, and applicable governance requirements.
• Support internal and external audits and prepare the required documentation.
• Ensure that automated and system-generated outputs are appropriately reviewed as part of established control procedures.

This role requires to work 25% US Time. Working patterns for US shift are 13:30 – 22:00 (Mon – Friday)

Previous involvement in process-improvement or finance-automation projects. Exposure to AI-supported tools or digital finance solutions. Basic experience with data visualization or financial reporting solutions. ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent professional qualification completed or currently in progress. The starting salary is at min 2 000 EUR/month gross for candidates who meet our minimum criteria. This amount is our minimal offered salary.
