Job summary

Thrivas is seeking an experienced Accountant for a CPA firm in Florida. The role supports tax preparation for individuals and business returns, and involves payroll tax returns and journal entries.

Flex hours are available with the option to work remotely if desired; typical hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Experience with law firms is a plus, but not required. Maintain clients' general ledger using QuickBooks or similar software.

This is a midsized CPA Firm that has a great reputation. The majority of the client base happens to be large and small law firms throughout the area. Accountants who have experience providing service to law firms or once worked as a law firm’s full charge bookkeeper are encouraged to apply. Experience working with attorneys or law firms is not a requirement.

The Accountant is responsible for preparing individual tax returns as well as business returns for partnerships, corporate tax returns or similar. Prepare annual payroll tax returns and possibly quarterly. Maintain clients general ledger (Quickbooks and similar accounting software). Prepare financial reports, journal entries, etc.
