AUDIT & COMPLIANCE SERVICES, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented bookkeeper to manage monthly bookkeeping, payroll, and financial reporting. The role involves using QuickBooks Online and SAGE on prem, preparing tax documents, and supporting budgeting and forecasting. Collaboration and strong business acumen are essential.

The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and be prepared to pursue CPA/CFE/EA certifications. Local candidates from NM communities are preferred.

The ideal candidate will be involved with preparing financial reports and statements, bank reconciliations, monthly bookkeeping including business activity transaction categorization, and conducting cyclical bookkeeping related audits. Moreover, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and possess a strong business acumen plus be local to either Deming, Silver City, Las Cruces, Hatch or Columbus, New Mexico.

Responsibilities

• Monthly Bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online, SAGE on prem or other Accounting Software
• Weekly or bi-weekly payroll processing
• Create ad-hoc reports for various business needs
• Prepare tax documents
• Compile and analyze financial statements
• Manage budgeting and forecasting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and periodicals
• Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• QuickBooks Online Knowledge or be willing to get certified or learn
• Aspire to get certified as a CPA, CFE, EA, or other
