THE JOB:
As an Accountant - Non Gaming at MGM Resorts International, you’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting critical accounting operations. You’ll work within a dynamic, collaborative environment where you’ll have the opportunity to build your skills, take ownership of core accounting functions, and contribute to continuous improvement across the enterprise.


THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Prepare monthly financial statements in alignment with GAAP and internal policies.

  • Record and analyze transactional activity in the general ledger with precision and timeliness.

  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and provide data-driven insights.

  • Partner with teams across the organization to implement internal controls and enhance reporting processes.

  • Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and support various audits and compliance efforts (SOX, IRS, AML, etc.).

  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives and systems implementation efforts.

  • Drive service excellence and foster a culture of teamwork, continuous learning, and mutual respect.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • 1+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience in Accounting or Audit

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience and 1+ years of prior relevant experience

  • Demonstrates strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.

  • Communicates effectively and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • Brings working knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.

  • Has experience preparing reconciliations and working with financial reporting tools.

  • Bonus points for experience with Oracle ERP, Oracle EPM, Cognos, or MGMRI-specific systems.
