Requirements

Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills:



  • Bachelor of Science in accounting.

  • 2 plus years of accounting experience preferred.

  • Software - Great Plains, Concur, Prophix and Tango experience a plus.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, particularly Excel, including the use of pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, etc

  • Candidate must have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

  • Communicate well with others in a team atmosphere.

We are seeking an Accountant to join our team.



Remote: candidates residing in PA, DE, FL, LA, MD, NJ, OH, TX, and VA.


Position Details:

The position will be responsible for financial reporting functions of corporate entities within Merakey and its subsidiaries. The position encompasses responsibilities for corporate allocations, monthly close process, annual budgets, and includes analysis and quality control within the corporate fiscal department.


The position is a staff position, working under the administrative direction of and reporting directly to the Senior Accountant.



Earn: $60,000




  • For Corporate entities, prepare recurring and non-recurring journal entries for assigned division(s).



  • Assist in closing Corporate entity books on a monthly basis in accordance with the close policy.



  • Perform and maintain balance sheet reconciliations.



  • Perform monthly budget variance analysis.



  • Review and approve purchase requests, check requests, expense reimbursements and credit card reconciliations for assigned departments, using budgeted amounts to validate expenses and ask questions as needed to understand expenditures. Ensure coding on requests is correct.



  • Maintain proper supporting documentation for all journal entries and account analysis performed, providing any needed support to internal or external auditors as needed.



  • Assist in preparing workpapers for annual financial audit.



  • Prepare annual budgets and participate in budget meetings as needed.



  • Prepare and distribute monthly reports to departments as assigned.



  • Special projects as requested.



  • Additional duties as assigned.
