Job summary

LeoForce is seeking an experienced Accountant (Industrial Manufacturing) to oversee daily accounting operations in Houston, TX. The role requires SAP proficiency, corporate accounting experience, and strong reporting skills to prepare monthly and annual financial statements.

The position focuses on cost tracking for manufacturing, accounts payable/receivable, and inventory valuation, with opportunities to optimize processes and drive automation within a growing industrial environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP Business One and corporate accounting.
  • Experience in reporting including key ratios and financial statements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain SAP-based accounting records and perform journal entries.
  • Post daily transactions including AP/AR and payroll.
  • Reconcile bank, credit card, and other accounts monthly.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
  • Manage accounts payable and vendor reconciliations.
  • Track manufacturing costs: labor, materials, overhead.
  • Monitor AR aging and issue invoices and memos as needed.
  • Manage inventory movements and monthly counts.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses in SAP.
  • File tax and compliance reports timely.
  • Identify process improvements and automation opportunities.

SUMMARY:

Independently overseeing the day-to-day accounting functions, managing financial transactions, performing account reconciliations, and compiling financial statements.

MUST HAVES:
  • SAP experience.
  • Corporate accountant experiences.
  • Reporting – Key ratios and financial statements.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records using SAP Business one accounting software.
  • Prepare and post journal entries and adjusting entries of day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll entries
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Manage accounts payable processes, including vendor invoice processing, payment processing, vendor reconciliations, and new vendor verifications.
  • Track manufacturing costs, including labor, raw materials, and overhead allocation.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up with clients on overdue payments. Generate and distribute invoices, credit memos, and statements to clients as needed.
  • Manage inventory accounting: monitor inventory movements, reconcile physical counts monthly, and update valuation in the system.
  • Prepare annual budget / periodic forecasting and variance analysis utilizing SAP accounting software.
  • File sales tax, property tax, payroll-related tax, and other compliance reports timely.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's in Accounting or a similar field.
  • 5+ years of professional accounting experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting preferred.
