Overview

The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for an Accountant III to support our Corporate Operations. This position will be located at our Orlando, Florida office.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintains financial records & ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded.
  • Ability to read and interpret Government contracts and modifications.
  • Knowlege of indirect burdens and how they are applied to direct costs.
  • Collaborate with lower level accountants and clerical staff.
  • Interact and support program managers, and contracts staff requests for information.
  • Prepare and submit accurate vouchers and necessary backup to the Government and other customers in a timely manner.
  • Timely posting of assigned AR vouchers
  • Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION
  • Associate degree required with at least four (4) years of professional level accounting experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Government Contract accounting experience in the areas of billing & accounts receivable
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting practices and procedures
  • Proficient knowledge of Deltek Costpoint

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Experience with WAWF & IPP a plus
  • SharePoint experience
  • Cognos knowledge a plus
  • Familiarity with annual Incurred Cost Submissions to the government
  • Experience working with Government and public auditors and support for audit requests
REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE
  • A background check is required.
