The Accountant 2 position supports sponsored programs by monitoring accounts, educating administrators on compliance, and preparing reports to ensure funding rules are followed.

Responsibilities include invoicing, budget maintenance, transfers, and collaboration across offices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with emphasis in accounting coursework and at least two years of work experience.
Experience with Excel, including formulas and pivot tables, to analyze large financial datasets.

Responsibilities

Monitor assigned sponsored accounts and educate administrators/faculty on compliance.
Prepare financial reports for various sponsored programs.
Educate administrators and faculty about compliance with federal and state regulations for sponsored programs.
Ensure terms and conditions of each sponsored program are met in collaboration with related offices.
Invoice sponsoring agencies and track accounts receivable.
Monitor expenditures for compliance with agency requirements and terms of awards.
Establish and maintain budgets for sponsored programs.
Review and authorize transfers for sponsored accounts.
Perform other duties as assigned.
