Freeport-McMoRan is seeking an accounting professional to support the month-end close, analyze financial data, and communicate results to site finance personnel. The role requires handling journal entries and ensuring adherence to accounting policies in a 24/7 operation environment.

The position offers multiple educational pathways from high school through master’s degrees in Accounting/Finance, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 6 years in accounting/finance or related training/experience.
• Associate's degree in Accounting/Finance with 4 years in accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance with 2 years in accounting.
• Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance with related area.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned duties as part of the accounting close process and apply accounting policies.
• Analyze financial and operational data and communicate results to management and site finance personnel.
• Perform analysis and reconciliation through system queries and investigation of reconciling items.
• Review processes for improvements during month-end close and recommend efficiencies.
• Perform other accounting and special projects as assigned.
• Perform other duties as required.
