Job summary

Dexian, a leading Talent + Technology solutions company, seeks a corporate accountant in Tampa, onsite four days per week. You will lead month-end close, prepare complex journal entries, and maintain balance sheet integrity while supporting consolidated statements and management reporting.

You will collaborate with plant and corporate teams, work on SOX controls, internal audits, and interpret IFRS/US GAAP guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 3-5+ years of corporate accounting experience.
• Experience with general ledger, month-end close, reconciliations, consolidations, journal entries, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities.
• Prepare and review complex journal entries and GL transactions.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure account integrity.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements and management reporting.
• Support technical accounting areas (pensions, stock compensation, derivatives).
• Assist with external audits, SOX compliance, and internal control testing.
• Prepare financial analyses and ad hoc leadership reports.
• Maintain SAP ERP financial reporting processes.
• Research IFRS and US GAAP guidance and advise treatments.
• Collaborate with plant and corporate teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities.
• Prepare and review complex journal entries and general ledger transactions.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain account integrity.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements and management reporting.
• Support technical accounting for areas such as pensions, environmental/PBO accounting, stock compensation, derivatives, and other complex accounting matters.
• Assist with external audits, SOX compliance, and internal control testing.
• Prepare financial analyses and ad hoc reporting for leadership.
• Maintain and support SAP ERP financial reporting processes.
• Research accounting guidance (IFRS and U.S. GAAP) and recommend appropriate accounting treatments.
• Partner with plant and corporate accounting teams to resolve accounting issues and improve financial processes.
• Identify opportunities for continuous process improvements and increased efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3-5+ years of progressive corporate accounting experience.
• Strong experience with:

  • Financial reporting and analysis
• Experience working within SAP ECC.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA designation.
• Manufacturing industry experience.
• Experience with IFRS reporting.
• Exposure to pension accounting, environmental/PBO accounting, stock compensation, and other technical accounting areas.
