Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant (Consultant) to join our client in the Energy sector. You will manage revenue accounting processes, perform audits, and provide advisory services on revenue recognition standards.

The role requires 5+ years of revenue accounting experience, strong knowledge of Wells and Quorum systems, and excellent analytical skills. Hybrid role based in Houston with exposure to senior management and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of revenue accounting experience, preferably in Energy.
• Strong knowledge of Operated/Non-Operated Wells and Quorum systems.
• CPA certification or progress towards CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of revenue accounting, including monthly revenue and deferred revenue journal entries.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure proper revenue recognition.
• Collaborate with operations and finance to analyze production volumes, sales, and pricing.
• Assist in implementing new revenue recognition standards and procedures.
• Provide consulting to clients in the Energy industry on revenue accounting and reporting.
• Oversee monthly close for revenue and ensure timely, accurate transactions.
• Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to senior management and clients.
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes.

Job Details

• Managing all aspects of revenue accounting, including the preparation and review of monthly revenue and deferred revenue journal entries.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• A proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate and address potential issues before they arise.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with other financial software.
• CPA certification or progress towards obtaining CPA certification is preferred.
