Job summary

True Oil LLC, Casper, WY, is seeking an accounting professional to support sister companies, reconcile balances and prepare reports for internal use. You will build customer reports, research issues and ensure accurate financial data.

In this role you will assist with the month-end close, maintain controls, and collaborate with operations and shared services to drive timely closes and accurate reporting. The position offers growth within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• At least 2 years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to sister companies and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, financial preparation and reporting.
• Build customer reports and analyze problems.
• Prepare and review routine reports such as sales tax.
• Perform transactional accounting entries and ensure controls are followed.
• Collaborate with operations and shared services to solve issues.
• Facilitate monthly, quarterly and annual close processes.

What You'll Do:

• Provide support to our sister companies: Eighty-Eight Oil LLC & True Fuels.


• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, financial preparation and reporting.


• Build customer reports.


• Research and analyze problems.


• Prepare/review routine reports i.e. sales tax.


• Perform transactional accounting entries.


• Verify that controls and processes have been followed.


• Work with operations, other shared services, and other stakeholders to problem solve.


• Facilitate the monthly, quarterly and annual close processes.

What We're Looking For:

Required Education, Experience and/or Abilities

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting and two (2) or more years of experience in an accounting environment; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.


• Complete understanding of accounting principles.


• Ability to facilitate month/year end close process.


• Ability to read professional documents (invoices, various financial statements, emails).


• Ability to calculate financial amounts and indicators.

Preferred Education, Experience and/or Abilities

• Oil and gas experience.


• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook software applications.


• Understanding of basic database programs.


• Ability to use 10-key by touch.


• Experience with accounting software, ERP’s.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

• English language fluency, verbal and written.


• Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check, credit check and drug/alcohol test.
