Arkansas TV in Conway, AR is seeking an Accountant I to join the Finance team. This role handles general accounting tasks, prepares reports and budgets, and uses SAP and Excel to support financial operations.

Based on the UCA campus, it offers a convenient Little Rock-area commute and a flexible schedule, including one remote day per week after six months. The ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field and at least six months of GAAP experience with state accounting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 6 mos. or more of Arkansas state accounting experience using GAAP when processing accounting transactions through an automated accounting software system.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and maintain financial records for the general ledger, grants, contracts, receivables, expenditures, assets, and inventory.
• Process journal entries and reconcile projects and accounts; resolve discrepancies.
• Establish grant and contract accounts; manage billings, invoices, drawdowns, budget modifications, expense transfers, and receivable transactions.
• Prepare financial reports, budgets, forecasting, and analysis; support compliance with laws and regulations.
