Community Medical Centers is seeking an Accountant I to maintain the general ledger, prepare journal entries, reconcile statements, and ensure data accuracy. This role reports to the Assistant Controller and supports audits, budgets, and forecasts in a hospital setting.
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance with 1 year of accounting or finance experience preferred and strong MS Excel skills.

The Accountant I, maintains the general ledger, prepare journal entries, reconcile financial statements and accounts, and ensure data accuracy. The Accountant I, reports to the Assistant Controller.
May require sitting for long periods of time. Must be able to reach above the shoulder level to work, must be able to bend, squat and sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, kneel, and twist/turn to work. Must have finger dexterity to operate calculator and computer keyboard. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Must be able to hear staff on the phone and those who are served in-person and speak clearly in order to communicate information to clients, funders and staff. Must have vision that is adequate to read memos, a computer screen, personnel forms, and clinical and administrative documents.
Work is performed in an office environment within a clinic setting. Involves frequent contact with staff and the public. Work may be stressful at times. Contact may involve dealing with upset people.
