PDS Health in Irvine, CA is seeking an accounting professional to support month-end close, manage journal entries, and maintain ledgers including inventory, construction-in-progress, fixed assets, accounts payable, and accruals.

You will analyze costs, prepare budget-to-actual variances, ensure GAAP compliance, and help improve financial processes. 2+ years of experience required; a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance is preferred; Oracle Fusion experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from an accredited college or university.
• In lieu of degree, 5+ years of professional experience.
• 2+ years of professional experience.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion or similar ERP applications is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Support general accounting in the month-end close cycle; prepare journal entries.
• Prepare and maintain inventory, construction-in-progress, fixed assets, accounts payable, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with pro-forma budget to actual cost variance analysis for projects.
• Evaluate invoices for capitalization per GAAP.
• Review procedures and propose scalable solutions to improve efficiency.
• Support Regional Finance Directors; research inquiries and prepare journal entries.
• Identify discrepancies to determine root cause and corrective action.
• Analyze historical trends: monthly accruals for lab, supply, property tax and utilities.
• Perform expense analysis and propose efficient accounting methodologies.
• Conceptualize and prepare financial reports and other reports.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Support general accounting in the month-end close cycle; prepare journal entries to ensure financial transactions are accurately recorded.

• Prepare and maintain inventory, construction-in-progress, fixed assets, accounts payable, accrued expenses, and balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure balances are valid and accurate.

• Assist with preparing pro-forma budget to actual cost variance analysis for projects to ensure costs are valid, accurately allocated, and align with budget.

• Evaluate invoices to determine whether the costs can be capitalized align with generally accepted accounting principles.

• Review procedures and recommend scalable solutions to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of department transactions and projects.

• Support Regional Finance Directors; research and respond to inquiries and prepare journal entries.

• Identify and analyze discrepancies to determine root cause and corrective solution.

• Analyze and interpret historical trends: monthly accruals for lab, supply, property tax and utility expenditures.

• Perform expense analysis, identify accounting methodology and propose an efficient approach.

• Conceptualize and prepare financial reports and other reports.

• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred

• Experience with Oracle Fusion or similar enterprise resource planning applications.

Compensation Information

$75,000.00-$93,000.00 / Annually
