Job Details

Position Purpose: Responsible for end-to-end administration of the organization's accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including payment processing, cash application, customer and vendor account maintenance, daily cash monitoring, and related accounting activities. This role ensures the accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of cash, payable and receivable transactions, researches and resolves discrepancies, maintains supporting documentation, and contributes to continuous process improvement. The position serves as a key resource for operational accounting activities and regulatory reporting requirements.

Essential Functions
  • Process and maintain records for all accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions and processes.
  • Track the daily movement of money in and out of the Company’s bank accounts.
  • Prepare and perform accounting duties related to cash entries and account balancing.
  • Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of payable and receivable processes.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory filings as assigned.
  • Maintain departmental process and procedure manuals.
  • Special projects as assigned.
Requirements

Education: Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

Experience: Prior experience in accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable or cash management preferred but not required. Candidates with relevant coursework, internship experience, or demonstrated ability to learn accounting processes, systems, reconciliations, journal entries, and Microsoft Excel on the job will be considered.

  • Working knowledge of accounting and reporting systems, including (not limited to) Microsoft Excel (e.g. basic formulas; pivot tables).
  • Demonstrates the ability to quickly learn new systems, tools, and processes; adapts effectively to changing technology environments.
  • Basic understanding of internal controls and documentation requirements.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
Mental Demands

Performs a wide range of tasks as dictated by demands and changing conditions and is able to interpret data, problem solves and makes effective decisions with limited or incomplete information. Must have the ability to focus on tasks for extended periods of time. Must be flexible and have the ability to work with a variety of tasks and employees. Ability to plan, organize, be detail and deadline oriented and maintain a high accuracy rate.

Physical Demands

Continuous sitting for extended periods of time, some standing, walking, bending and reaching. Frequent use of fingers and hands to manipulate computer, telephone and other office equipment.
